Speaker Bio - Eric Barnett Jefferson
Eric Barnett Jefferson was born in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked with General Motors Corporation for 10 years before moving to Jacksonville, Florida to work with the North Florida Council Boy Scouts of America. During his 8 years in Florida, he set up Boy Scout units in Public Housing Communities and established the program Saving Targeted At-Risk Youth.
Eric worked for the National Benevolent Association from 1999 to 2005 in various roles including Associate Vice President of Development, CEO of the National Benevolent Association Chance program, and finally as head of the National Benevolent Foundation development and grant making program.
Today, Eric is the CEO of the Dearborn YMCA and works to change lives by providing guidance to children and families.
