The South Alabama Youth Coalition is a group comprised of community organizations interested in the enhancement and development of youth in our community.

The mission of the Youth Coalition is to:
   - Share the work of fellow youth leadership organizations throughout the South Alabama area

   - Promote policy change that improves positive youth development in the community

   - Provide opportunities for networking and professional development of program

      directors/advisors

The Youth Coalition listserv was created in response to a need voiced by several youth advisors.
This listserv serves many purposes for all members:
  - It saves time. Simply send a message to youth_coalition@yahoogroups.com and the message

    appears in all members' Inboxes!
  - It is a "one-stop shop" for issues related to youth and youth organizations. With one simple email,

an organization is able to reach multiple organizations to pose questions or voice concerns.
  - It serves as a promotional tool for upcoming events.
  - It is a resource center for all youth organizations in the South Alabama region.

If you know of another organization that is not represented on the listserv, feel free to send them the link so they can sign up: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/youth_coalition - When you sign up for the list, please post in the "message box" your name and organization/company. Thank you!
