The Community Foundation of South Alabama was established in 1976.

Our mission is to enable healthy communities by serving, convening and multiplying philanthropy through effective leadership.

We serve 8 counties in South Alabama including Baldwin, Clarke, Conecuh, Choctaw, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe and Washington counties.

More than $60 million in grants have been awarded since 1976 by The Community Foundation to nonprofit organizations to support programs that make life better in our community.

Our assets as of September 30, 2010 are more than $51 million.
